LAF Alumni Artists-in-Residence Exhibition
October 2020 - January 2021
The Lucid Art Foundation Artist Residency Program, held in an idyllic forest setting in the hills of Inverness, California, borders on the Point Reyes National Seashore. The artists in this exhibition were selected for the residency through a juried process by invitation due to their affinity with the vision of the Foundation.
Since the residency invites one person at a time, most of the artists do not meet one another during their time in residency, though the experience of this semi-retreat in the wilderness bonds them together through an invisible thread. Varied as their works are, they are in line with the mission of the Foundation, which promotes exploration of deep levels of consciousness in harmony with the natural world.
The residency alumni exhibition covers the entire program, from its inception in 2008 through 2019, with sixty-five works selected for this show. Rather than presenting the work chronologically, the works were arranged in a series of four online exhibitions, one group per month, from October 1, 2020 to January 31, 2021. The works were selected according to the artists' concepts, materials, and forms.
